Redeveloping architectural - volume of brownfield industrial site

  The theme chosen for the proposed project requires a multisectoral treatment solutions. Regarding architectural functional approach - this kind of themes were represented abroad, the latest event being the "Venice Architecture Biennale 2014" where  the Romanian pavilion organized an exhibition with the industrial patrimony left today in decay.

   Redeveloping the architectural- function of these building would be a much better solution than demolishing them, as is done widespread currently. This industrial site could be an example of regeneration and reconvertion of architectural-functional structures that stockpiles/ acumulates materials and energy in '"crystallized" current form.

   Following similar internationally models , as " Canary Wharf", "Genova docs" or nationally as "Home and Design Mall", born from an old disused factory Stomobi Boulevard Ghencea - Bucharest or Cluj Napoca Paintbrush Factory, the structures of the industrial site in Pitesti as other similar structures such as Wolff factories from Filaret, Asan's Mill could be architectural-functional reconverted and used in community service.

   Regarding utilitarian component space brownfield industrial site can be used for other purposes:

  • Laboratories for studies, research and measurements at the site generating units. This research may be used for future projects of this magnitude;

  • Function spaces and conference rooms;

   All these solutions using direct electric utility industry within the park, lighting, water heating consumption, etc.
