The Photovoltaic Power Plant

The Solar park from CET South II Pitesti is placed on the formar coal deposit figure no.9 with a total area of 120,000 m2. This surface has a solar potential as provided in Chapter 3.1 - level of heatstroke 1.585 kWh /m2 /year - rated on installed capacity of 4.5 MW and an annual energy production of 5,700 MWh /year.

The Photovoltaic panels chosen, in number of 18,000 pieces, are monocrystalline with a power unit of 250Wp having a solar tracking system with 2-axis module of 12 panels and inverters. The estimated cost of the solar park is 9.5 million Euro, approx. 2.1 Euro/Wp.
